We all lived two distinctly different lives, our civilian persona, lawyer, fireman, teacher, CPA, etc., but some strange transformation overwhelmed us when we put on the fight suit, or cammys and we became A HOOKER!  We shrugged the robes of mere mortals and became, POL handlers driving huge trucks over mountain passes loaded with tons of jet fuel, Army cooks able to dish out, so to speak, meals under the most extreme conditions,  maintenance experts keeping a small fleet of vehicles and aircraft combat ready, and aircrews who looked and acted very differently on drill weekends and summer camps from their mundane civilian lives.  The true story of the phenomenon of the Hookers may never be completely told, but in these few pages we who lived it will know and just quietly smile. And for those visiting, you missed one hell of a ride!
